Beautiful white fruits with purple stripes. Turn pale lavender when ripening. Elongated teardrop shape, 15 to 20 cm long. White soft flesh, no biterness. 80 days.

Eggplant Applegreen

Pale green, medium size oval fruits (8 -10 cm long). Thin skin and delicious mild white flesh. Compact plants: 40-60 cm. Bred in 1964 by Elwyn Meader of New Hampshire University. Earlier than most other eggplants. 63-70 days.

  Eggplant Black Beauty  

Large dark purple eggplants weighing more than 1 kg and measuring about 20 cm. Pale yellow flesh, tender, good at any stage. Plants are about 60 to 75 cm high. Fruits hold without touching the soil. Tolerant to tobacco mosaic.

Eggplant Listada de Gandia    

Striking variety with white skin and lavender-purple stripes. One of the most beautiful eggplants. Tender flesh. Thin skin, does not need to be peeled. Fruits are oval to slightly elongated, 12 to 18 cm in lenght. Plants are relatively short, 35 to 40 cm high. Old spanish variety introduced in France around 1850. 75 to 90 days.

Eggplant Little Fingers  

Clusters of fruits that can be picked early for mini eggplants (5-12 cm). Extra tender, can be eaten with the skin. Can also be harvested later, at 20 cm, and still good. Leaves are tinged with purple. Early: 65-70 days. Similar to Slim Jim.

  Eggplant Ping Tung

Oriental strain with long purple narrow fruits reaching 30 cm long or more. Only 4 cm wide. Smooth tender flesh, with excellent sweet taste. Thin skin, does not require peeling. Pick young for extra tender eggplants. Strong vigorous plants bearing up to 15 fruits each. Early, 65-70 days.

Eggplant Rosa Bianca

 Beautiful lavender fruits streaked with varying degree of white. Italian variety renowned for its subtle, delicate flavor and very smooth texture. One of the best tasting. Never bitter. Large, 15 cm, egg shaped fruits. Around 80 days.

Eggplant Siciliano  (Violetta di Firenze)   

This variety has medium size (5"), round-oval purple fruits with streaks of white. As can be seen on the picture, the sepals extend much further on the fruit than in ordinary eggplant.

Eggplant Tsakoniki                  

Greek eggplant reknown for its fine texture and sweet, delicate taste. Fruits are striped in purple and white, and are about 20 cm long. These eggplants are sold in Greece under a controlled-name status, akin to the Espelette pepper in Basque country. About 85-90 jours.
