Large winter squash with blue-gray bumpy skin. Somewhat, bulbous or elongated shape. Thick orange flesh, fine textured. Like potatoes, Blue Hubbards can be used to make french fries. They can also be added to purees, soups, pies, muffins, etc. Nice ornamental. Very hard skin. Keeps well, for up to 6 months. Large running vines, needs space. Delicata      (Sweet potato)  

One of the best tasting, with sweet flesh often compared to sweet potato. Also, does not really need peeling because skin is very thin. 15-25 cm long. 100 days.

Galeuse d'Eysines    C. maxima

French variety with salmon-pink skin covered with warts. Nice, sweet flavor. Large fruits, round and flattened, from 8 to 15 kilos, with bright orange flesh. The fruits start smooth and grow more and more peanut like protuberances as they age. Unique. About 95 days.
